Finding the Best Hand Cream

Moisturizing Hand Creams
One of the unpleasant parts of winter is having to deal with dry hands (not to mention chapped lips, but that's another story). Winter skin is dry and flaky, and can make anyone feel kind of crummy. And I haven't even started talking about the bleeding, painful chapped knuckles we have to endure! Which brings me to my topic.... finding the best hand creams. They really can be a livesaver if you are dealing with dry skin, and particularly, irritated skin.
I have tried a lot of hand moisturizers in the past few years and have selected a a couple as my choice for "best hand creams." My only criteria revolves around sufficient moisture and a lack of a greasy, heavy feeling (nothing is worse than that heavy, sticky grease-lingering-on-the-hands feeling).
One amazing lotion is the Olay Quench Rapid Repair Hand Lotion. This literally does quench your hands. It also prevents dryness before it starts with its pleasant and soothing amino acid blend. And voila! No more dry, flaky, painful knuckles or hands! Everyone should really try out this lotion, especially in the winter months.
I'm also a huge fan of the AHAVA Dead Sea Mineral Hand Cream. Anything with the words "Dead Sea Minerals" in it seems good to me and like it would work, but that's beside the point. This moisturizer not only hydrates your hands, but leaves them feeling satin soft for days on end (you WILL have the skin of a toddler!). And even though it's extremely rich, it absorbs very quickly. Works like a charm.
I also (sometimes) like natural products, and the Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme is one of the most soothing hand creams on the market. Your hands will feel soft and replenished after you slather on this good stuff. Not to mention, since it contains almond milk, it smells really nice too. It's a thick cream and can also repair the skin on tough areas of your body such as your elbows, knees and heels of your feet.
A good hand cream should be a staple in your skin care routine. Just like it's important for you to drink water, you should keep your hands properly hydrated too. Now put on some lotion and pamper your hands.
